Huelin Renouf freight to be shipped to Jersey

23 August 2013

Arrangements have been made by the liquidators of Huelin-Renouf and the Ports of Jersey to deliver delayed freight goods to Jersey.

The shipment from Southampton was delayed by the closure, earlier this week, of Huelin-Renouf Shipping Limited.

As well as arranging the loading of cargo at Southampton, a vessel has been chartered to ship approximately 60 containers to Jersey. The goods are due to arrive by Monday evening.

The CEO of Ports of Jersey, Doug Bannister, and Alan Roberts from Grant Thornton said “It has been our priority to ensure the safe shipment of customers' goods back to Jersey and we are very pleased that this will be achieved."

The liquidators have been unable to agree similar arrangements in Guernsey. Guernsey customers with goods in Southampton will be contacted separately to make arrangements for delivery of their goods.

Customers wanting to arrange collection of their goods should contact the liquidators, Grant Thornton, by email: corporate.recovery@gt-ci.com
