Zebra crossing consultation

13 January 2014

Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is proposing to install two new zebra crossings on the junction of Grenville Street and Green Street and would like to know if the public have any comments to make on the proposals.

The existing island at that location was found to be well used by pedestrians to cross the busy junction. However, a zebra crossing with widened pavements would make it easier for pedestrians and drivers to see each other and promote safer crossing.

Following on from that, the Department has drawn up some draft proposals which include widening of the pavements on the north, east and west of the junction and installing zebra crossings with belisha beacons to cross Grenville Street.

How to comment on GrenvilleStreet / Green Street zebra crossings

Islanders have until Friday 7 February to comment.

Details of the project and how to comment are available on the consultation page.
