Road closures scheduled at Five Oaks

05 November 2019

Resurfacing works at Five Oaks are planned to continue this Sunday, 10 November with a section of road from the roundabout, along La Grande Route De La St Martin, being closed to traffic in both directions from 9am to 9pm.

Northbound and southbound traffic will be diverted along Princes Tower Road and Rue du Trot past Hougue Bie which will add a few minutes to road user’s journeys.

Highway Maintenance Manager, Rob Cabot said: “This is a significant project, with a number of phased sections to work on. We aim to minimise disruption by working at the weekends and outside of peak traffic times as much as we can, but we appreciate that it will be an inconvenience for some for which we apologise.”

From 8am on Monday, 11 November through to 6pm on Wednesday, 13 November motorists will not be able to exit the roundabout onto Grande Route de St Martin and will need to use the diversion.

On Thursday, 14 November and Friday, 15 November motorists coming from Maufant will not be able to get on to the roundabout and will have to use the diversion.

Work will be continuing until mid-December with work taking place at weekends to avoid disruption as much as possible.

More details of the planned closures will be released as the project work progresses.
