Home fire safety visits

What to expect

During a home fire safety visit we'll look at all areas of accident and fire risk within your home.

We'll advise you on the installation and maintenance of smoke alarms. We'll also provide guidance and information on how to stay safe from fire, including:

  • safe disposal of smoking materials
  • use of candles
  • electric heaters and appliances
  • kitchen safety
  • airing cupboards
  • electric blankets 

We'll help you make an escape plan to prepare you, should a fire occur in your home. For more information visit making an escape plan.
