About the Corporate Parenting Board (CPB)
The establishment of a Corporate Parenting Board (CPB) is a statutory requirement of the Children and Young People (Jersey) Law 2022.
The CPB will provide political leadership and oversight on Corporate Parenting activity as set out in the Children and Young People (Jersey) Law 2022.
Board membership
The CPB members consists of:
- Minister for Children and Families as Chair
- Assistant Minister for Children and Families
- Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning
- Minister for Housing
- Minister for Health and Social Services
- Minister for Justice and Home Affairs
- Representative from Comité de Connétables
- Director of Childrens Services
- 2 representatives from the Children in Care
- 2 representatives from Care Leavers
- 2 voluntary sector representatives
- Jersey Foster Carers Association representative

Board meetings
Board Governance
Board meetings will take place 4 times per year. The CPB will act as a formal sub-group of the Council of Ministers and report on progress of the Corporate Parenting to the Council of Ministers.
Minutes of the meeting will be circulated to all representatives and will be presented for approval at the next meeting. Agendas and Minutes of Board meetings will be placed on the Government of Jersey website for reference once approved.
