You can recycle most paper

Types of paper you can recycle

paper stained with foodstuffs, grease, paint or dirt
greaseproof or baking paper
kids paintings
hygiene and sanitary products (for example, nappies, wet wipes, sanitary towels, used paper towels, cotton wool and make up pads)
non-paper gift wrap or bags (for example, foil-based gift wrapping, crisp or sweet packets or wrappers)
wrapping paper and gift wrap
wallpaper and decoration paper
brown paper (this can be recycled with cardboard)
tissues and tissue paper

Your paper can be recycled at various recycling points. Some parishes also provide paper kerbside recycling.

Remove the covers of hardback books before recycling. The covers can be recycled with cardboard.

Telephone directories can be recycled at La Collette.

Separate all free gifts and plastic from mail before recycling it. Dispose of the plastic with your general waste.

Remove any loose sticky tape from paper before you recycle it.
