About the Blue Fish Campaign The Blue Fish Campaign raises awareness of potentially polluting substances and their impact on our Island's water environment.
Blue fish logo Surface water road drains are designed to remove rain water from roofs, footpaths and roads. They must not be used to dispose of litter or waste chemicals like paints, detergents or oils. We identify these drains by putting a blue fish icon next to them.
Fish stencils are available free from the Department of the Environment.

Get involved Businesses Create a pollution prevention action plan which will enable you to consider and reduce the pollution risks on your site. It will also help you to think about how to reduce, reuse, recycle and dispose of waste appropriately on your site.
Eco active businesses who store or transport potentially polluting substances are required to develop a pollution prevention plan as part of the requirements to join the eco active business network.
