About the consultation
The strategic issues and options consultation focused on the big-picture issues which would help set the direction of the new Island Plan.
Since this consultation was held, the Island Plan Review Programme has needed to be adjusted in response to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. The review is now focussing on the development of a ‘bridging’ Island Plan for the period of 2022 to 2024, in advance of a longer-term plan being developed for the 2025 to 2034 period. Whilst the implementation period of the next plan will be shorter, the findings of this consultation will continue to inform the development of the Bridging Island Plan.
This consultation did not include potential sites. You can find out more about the process on
the About the Island Plan Review page.
