About the consultation
The need for a zebra crossing by Checkers Xpress on Rue a Don, Grouville, was first identified during a previous consultation into traffic calming in the area.
We plan to install the following in early 2014 and would like your comments on them:
- a zebra crossing by the Checkers Xpress / garage on La Rue a Don
- street lighting to ensure that pedestrians using the crossing can be seen at night
- traffic-calming measures to slow vehicles by the crossing

The bigger traffic-calming scheme
The zebra crossing is part of a traffic calming scheme that has already been publicised and gone out to consultation. It includes :
- a mini roundabout at the junction of Rue a Don and Rue de la Ville es Renauds
- widening the footway so that the footway / cycleway link between Gorey village and Grouville School is continued
- providing carriageway build-outs and raised tables to slow vehicles down
- providing a 20mph speed limit through the area of Rue a Don and Rue de la Ville es Renauds
