About the consultation
We would like to hear your views on the incorporation of the Ports of Jersey.
In October 2012 the States Assembly approved the incorporation of Jersey Airport and Jersey Harbours into a single limited company - ‘Ports of Jersey Limited’, wholly owned by the States of Jersey.
The primary objective of incorporation is to enable the Ports of Jersey to continue to provide essential public services to the Island in a sustainable manner and avoid a significant capital shortfall that could incur additional taxation.
This consultation:
- details the case for incorporation and the evidence behind it
- examines the regulatory framework that will support the Ports of Jersey Limited
- provides the legal underpinning of the incorporation
