The Health and Safety Inspectorate in Jersey provides our Island with extraordinary support in improving the management of health and safety of our Islands workplaces. No two days are the same and our work integrates into many facets of Island life.
From construction sites to farms, garages to shops, we provide dutyholders with advice on risk management, respond to complaints about work activities and investigate incidents to establish root causes and measures needed to prevent a reoccurrence.
A rare opportunity has emerged for a short-term secondment to the Health and Safety Inspectorate, offering proactive advisory support to businesses.
The role demands exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to persuade people to improve working practices. Demonstrating fairness, openness, and empathy towards others' needs is crucial.
