Introduction
There has been an increase in the number of damages by both contractors and homeowners to electrical equipment and systems, including:
- underground electrical cables,
- overhead lines, and
- incoming service cable and metering equipment
Striking an electrical cable can result in serious injury with potentially fatal consequences.
Jersey Electricity campaign
To promote awareness of this issue, Jersey Electricity has created a radio campaign, which started this week on Channel 103. This is supported by two brochures; one for contractors and one for homeowners.
