Request

How many members of staff have left each secondary school under the Education Department's remit, Victoria and Girls colleges included, in the last three years. Please break this down by years.

Non-teaching staff include all those working in schools but not in a teaching role. It includes Teaching Assistants, lunchtime supervisors, cleaners, care takers and administrators or support staff. All of those that left the schools listed in the above table may have transferred to other schools, retired, left the island, or moved outside the education sector.

The academic year is 1 September to 31 August.

Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to the data in order to protect the identity of individuals.

Exemptions applied

Article 25 – Personal Information

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
