Response

The predicted out-turn cost of the new Police Station and Headquarters project and associated works, including the extension to Green Street Multi-Storey Car Park, is £24,397,870 and is within the allocated budget.

Expenditure incurred (ie amounts paid) as at 30 November 2016 is £22,689,256.

New furniture, fittings and equipment will be procured for the new building, for which a budget allowance of £647,000 has been made within the overall allocated budget sum.  It is not possible to identify separately the total cost of furniture, decorating and carpets as these items are contained, wholly or partly, within the lump sum contract price provided by the contractor.
