A, B and C

The States of Jersey Supply of Liquid Fuel contract formally ended on 30 June 2016. The re-tender for the Supply of Liquid Fuel commenced on 25 July 2016. This tender opportunity was advertised on the Channel Islands Portal and the tender process is expected to be concluded by 28 February 2017.

D

The request to supply details of the current pricing is considered to be commercially sensitive and therefore Article 33 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied. While it is not possible to provide details of individual fuel prices the authority can confirm that the States of Jersey pricing remains in accordance with the terms of the contract that commenced in 2010.

E

Certain elements of the tender documentation are considered to be commercially sensitive.

At the time of advertising the opportunity, companies were required to express an interest before being given access to the tender documents, rather than simply download all of the documentation as is the case in the majority of tenders that are advertised.

The States of Jersey can, however, provide a redacted version of the documentation.  See link below:

Exemptions applied

Article 33 Commercial Interest

Information is qualified exempt information if:

(a) it constitutes a trade secret; or

(b) its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of a person (including the scheduled public authority holding the information).

In this instance the Authority considers that the public interest in disclosing information is outweighed by the potential damage to the commercial interests of the authority if current prices were disclosed.
