To whom it may concern, I have some questions about medical trainees in Jersey:

What are the guidelines for employing Core Trainees (not foundation) that are not GP Trainees?
B
Do you employ surgical / medical or any other Core Trainees?
C
How many surgical trainees have worked in Jersey in the last ten years? Can you provide a breakdown by year?
D
How many medical core trainees have worked in Jersey in the last ten years? Can you provide a breakdown by year?
E
How many anaesthetic core trainees have worked in Jersey in the last ten years? Can you provide a breakdown by year?
F
How many paediatric core trainees have worked in Jersey in the last ten years? Can you provide a breakdown by year?
G
How many psychiatric core trainees have worked in Jersey in the last ten years? Can you provide a breakdown by year?

We don’t have any core trainees, we only have Foundation 1, Foundation 2 and GP Trainees (for their first year).
We used to have Specialised Registrar (SPR) posts which are the ‘old’ definition of core trainees and these are detailed below.
B
We do not employ surgical / medical or any other core trainees
C
There have been no surgical trainees within the last 10 years. There were two trainee SPR posts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2007, but none since then.
