Real term changes of workforce modernisation (FOI)

Request

Based on the Fiscal Policy Panel estimates of Retail Price Index (RPI), could the States of Jersey give the real term estimates of how staff will be affected by proposed Workforce Modernisation (WFM)?

Please provide annual real term changes in earnings for each pay group when any increases have been adjusted for estimated RPI eg if average earnings are increasing by 1.7%, and RPI is 2.8, the real terms change is 1.7 less 2.8= minus 1.1%, ie a drop in value of earnings in real terms.

Please provide the information for each of the different grades within the pay groups. eg for the civil service pay group the results to be provided for each of the grades 1 to 15.

All employees who fall under the scope of the current phase of workforce modernisation have been provided with information about the new pay groups and the changes to terms and conditions proposed.
