Missed hospital appointments (FOI)

Request

Please kindly provide the amount of missed hospital appointments per year, broken down by department and listed alongside the total amount of appointments scheduled, over the past five years.

Response

The tables below show the total number of appointments scheduled (attended and not attended) and the number of appointments not attended by year.

Please note that December 2017 data is not yet available.

Scheduled and missed appointments 

Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this request and as such, disclosure control has been applied to all numbers fewer than five (<5). This is to protect the privacy of individuals.

Exemption applied

Article 25 Personal information

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
