Request

I would like to request copies of all email correspondence during the months of November and December 2016 between any 'Jerseyfinance.je' email address and any of the following: Senator Ian Gorst, Senator Philip Ozouf, and the former States Chief Executive John Richardson.

More specifically I am interested in emails (to/from/cc’d/bcc’d) involving Geoff Cook at Jersey Finance and containing one or more of the following words: ‘secondment’, ‘Hong Kong’, ‘expenses’.

Response

All emails which are relevant to the subject matter have been examined and where appropriate exemptions have been applied. Emails identified are attached.

Personal information is absolutely exempt and details of individuals have been redacted from emails under Article 25 (Personal information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Article 25 Personal information

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
