Response
Social Security does not systematically collect, record and report on the number of ASW jobseekers who are ex-offenders and / or have a criminal record.
There is no requirement mandating anyone who registers as a jobseeker to supply this information. However, the department works closely with the Prison to support those prison leavers who have statutory monitoring requirements under Jersey Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (JMAPPA). This means, as with all States departments, we are required to monitor and support those leaving prison who may be a risk to public protection.
