Please can you tell me what was the total cost of hiring Mr Bahram Bekhradnia?
Response
The Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel engaged Mr. Bahram Bekhardnia for the purpose of two Scrutiny Reviews relating to the funding of university costs. The first led to the Panel’s report ‘Tertiary Education: Student Finance’ (S.R.2/2017) in 2017 and the second to the 2018 report, ‘Tertiary Education – Student Finance Proposals’ (S.R.5/2018).
The breakdown of the costs of using Mr Bekhardnia were as follows:
2017 Review
Fees £23,000
Expenses (Travel, Accommodation and Meals) £681.92
2018 Review
Fees £4,997
Expenses (Travel, Accommodation and Meals) £737.90
The total cost of engaging Mr Bekhradnia for these two reviews was therefore £29,416.82.
