What is this as a percentage of the total number of people with special educational needs in Jersey? 

Response

Although we do not hold data on the total number of people with special educational needs (SEN) in Jersey, we do hold a register of students with SEN studying at all Jersey schools and colleges from school nursery year to Year 13 (and Year 14 at Highlands College). 

Therefore we are able to provide the number of people on the SEN register studying further education courses in Years 12 to 14, and this number as a percentage of the total number of students on the SEN register. 

Our standardised SEN registers began in 2012, so we are only able to provide this information for the last three years. 

* At Beaulieu, De La Salle, Hautlieu, Highlands College, Jersey College for Girls and Victoria College

**In school nurseries, reception year, and Years 1 – 14 (all schools and colleges)

The data are based on statistical returns provided to the Education department by each school or college. All data presented are for the Autumn term except Highlands College 2012 data and Mont a L'abbe School 2013 data, where data relate to the Summer term of the same academic year. No return was received from d'Hautree House in 2013 or from Mont a L'abbe secondary school in 2014.
