Please kindly provide the employment contract of States Chief Executive Mr Charlie Parker.

Please also provide:

• Mr Parker's yearly salary

• how much he has been paid so far

• the start and end dates specified in his contract

• details of any clauses permitting his contract to be shortened / extended

Response

The Chief Executive Charlie Parker was employed on a permanent States of Jersey employment contract with effect from 8 January 2018.

His salary is a matter of public record, £250,000, and is paid monthly in arrears in common with all States of Jersey employees. He had been paid £141,129.01 gross as at August 2018.

A decision notice was issued by the Office of the Information Commissioner on 21 November in relation to the original exemption of any further details. The decision notice can be found at the following link:
