My request is in relation to the States of Jersey's Public Employees Pension Fund.
Would it be possible to obtain a breakdown of all equity investments in private companies (those not listed on any stock exchange) containing:
percentage holding of the company in question
number of and types of shares held (ordinary, preference, convertible)
valuation of the holding in question
methodology for valuing the holding
Ideally I would like the most recent breakdown you have, however if data is only available as at 31 December 2017 that is fine.
Response
The Public Employees Pension Fund (PEPF) is not subject to the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. However, information on the Fund is available in the PEPF Annual Report and Accounts which are available at:
Public service pension annual reports and newsletters
Pages 13 to 19 of the Annual Report and Accounts 2017 explains how the PEPF invests it assets in a range of asset classes to achieve diversification.
