Can you please tell me the annual cost of agency social workers in children’s service compared to the cost of employing that cohort on permanent States of Jersey contracts?

Can you also please break down how many permanent social work FTE there are versus agency social workers FTE?

Can you please break down the cost of employing one permanent children’s social worker annually versus the actual billed cost of a children’s agency social worker annually?

There are currently 24 agency social workers which would cost £1,989,000 per year. If these were filled by permanent FTE the cost would be £1,505,040 (with overheads, such as employer pension and social security contributions).
