HMP La Moye education programmes and meals (FOI)

My request is in relation to La Moye prison. Could you please provide me with:

A

What food is available in the prison canteen for inmates

B

What education programmes are currently in place, and what extra ones (if any) are being planned for the future

C

How many instances of drug confiscations there have been in the last 12 months, and what drugs were confiscated

D

How many assaults on staff there have been in the last 12 months and what action was taken

As well as food prisoners are able to purchase a wide selection of toiletries, protein supplements, batteries, various gym equipment and phone credit.

Please note there are a number of courses that are / will be piloted and these are annotated on the list.

In 2018 there was one instance – Drug confiscated was Cannabis

In 2019 there were two instances – Drugs confiscated one x Cannabis and one x Subutex (Buprenorphine)

In the last 12 months, there has been one assault on staff and this is currently the subject of an ongoing police investigation.
