Taxi-Cab Regulation Reform Programme
Prior to the Ministerial decision made on 28 September 2015 (Decision Reference: MD-T-2015-0079), the Minister approved the taxi-cab regulation reform programme and directed the Inspector of Motor Traffic to draft Orders under the Motor Traffic (Jersey) Law 1935 and make the necessary administrative changes to put the taxi-cab regulatory reform programme into effect.
Given it is now coming up to five years since the Inspector of Motor Traffic was directed to implement the Reform Programme can you please advise the following:
What Ministerial Decisions in the Reform Programme have:
a) been fully implemented
b) remain in progress
c) have been abandoned
For those decisions that remain in progress please advise which have fixed dates to be fully implemented and which decision do not.
Response
The Ministerial Decision (“MD”) to enable the Taxi-Cab Regulation Reform Programme sets out the seven key objectives.
The following table details the progress of these objectives. None of the objectives have been abandoned.
