COVID-19 situation update for the EU/EEA and the UK, as of 31 August 2020
Now that some countries such as the UK and Eire are being assessed on a regional basis, which data source is being used to assess regional cases per 100,000 and is this in the public domain. If not, will the underlying data be published on a regular basis, at least weekly.
Response
From Wednesday 2 September 2020 six countries (see table below) are being assessed at a regional level. Updates to regional risk assessments are made on a weekly basis. The risk assessment is based on a 14-day case notification rate and published in a weekly press notice.
