Request
Piquet House, Royal Square, has been empty for some years and it is a well known and well documented fact that it has remained empty, only to be utilised occasionally by the Poppy Appeal. What are the rates paid to the parish of St Helier for that building please?
Response
The information you have requested is normally exempt under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as details of the rates paid for any building can be found by examining the Rates Lists at the relevant Parish Halls or the Public Library.
However due to the Coronavirus crisis limiting access to these buildings, for this case only we are able to advise that the rates paid for Piquet House are £2,350.26 for 2020.
