My question regards the employment of Charlie Parker as Chief Executive. Could you please tell me:
A
Where and how the job was advertised in the UK, what dates and for how long?
B
Where and how the job was advertised locally?
C
If any independent advisers were involved, who were they?
D
How many people were on the final short list of candidates?
E
Who was on the interview panel?
Response
A and B
The role was advertised in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Jersey Evening Post, Exec Appointments online, and the Municipal Journal. It was also placed on the websites of the Jersey States (gov.je), Odgers Berndston (the retained search firm), and the UK Civil Service Jobs. The role was advertised from the 1st – 31st May 2017.
C
Odgers Berndston were appointed as independent search partners for this recruitment assignment and were responsible for managing all candidate applications and the facilitation of the recruitment process through to final appointment. Additionally, Dr Gillian Stamp was appointed from Career Path Appreciation assessments who undertook a number of candidate assessments in the long and short-listing stages.
D
10 candidates were initially long listed and three were finally shortlisted.
