Please can you provide a breakdown of the costs of the track and trace service if possible, giving an average cost per tracing.

Please can you provide the costs of the development of the track and trace App.

C

Please can you provide a breakdown of the costs of the Covid testing service, both capital investment and per test costs inclusive of all fixed infrastructure costs (ie not just the laboratory cost of providing the results).

If it's not possible to provide a per service cost, please can you provide total costs so far against the number of tests in the case of testing and the total costs of track and trace so far against the number of traced individuals.

The Cost of Contact Tracing Team posted to the financial ledger up to 31 October 2020 is £886,799.

As at 31 October, there had been 608 positive cases; each positive case has an average of 10 Direct Contacts. Therefore, the average cost per positive case for contact tracing was £1,458; or, on an average of 10 Direct Contacts per positive case, the average cost per positive and Direct Contact traced is £133.

The COVID Tracing App business case contains a budget of £240k, plus an additional £50k for interoperability.

The total cost of the Covid testing service, posted to the financial ledger for 1 July to 30 October 2020, was £7,886,491. This includes capital costs eg infrastructure, staff costs and test processing costs.

A total of 134,235 tests were processed in the same period, therefore the average cost per test was £58.75.
