Request
I am writing to ask how much of Jersey's tax money is dedicated to international development and aid. I am aware that 0.7% of UK tax money is spent on this, and would be interested to know how Jersey compares.
Response
The Treasury and Resources Department produces the Annual Financial Report and Accounts and the Annex to the Accounts.
Page 15 of the Financial Report and Accounts Table 1 Summary of Financial Results shows the States Net General Revenue Income figure for 2014 of £648.967 million.
Page 155 note 9.12 Grants shows the amount provided to the Jersey Overseas Aid Commission of £9.701 million.
In the Annex there is a section on the Jersey Overseas Aid Commission. This provides detail of the budget which the Commission receives along with their expenditure.
