Request
A
I would like to ask for updated figures for people arriving in Jersey and being granted exemption from isolation in line with Government rules. This would be an update of the response on 23 December 2020 which gave information up to 21 December 2020, including detail of the different categories including compassionate and medical exemptions.
B
Further to the above I would like to request how many positive test results have been recorded for those who have been granted exemptions, and what procedure exists to cater for those who test positive.
Response
A
From 21 December 2020 to 5 February 2021, isolation exemptions approved were as follows:
Worker: 149 exemption requests, covering 259 workers
Compassionate: 31
Medical: 23
B
One person who was been granted an exemption has subsequently tested positive for Covid-19. The exemption was immediately withdrawn, and the individual was instructed to isolate as per the usual testing and isolation policy in place at the time.
