We are unable to provide any information in reply to this request because we do not hold in our records the information requested in either of the two questions posed. Records relating to Judicial, Solicitor General, and Attorney General appointments are held by the Bailiff’s Chambers which is not a scheduled public authority under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

The processes for appointment of the Judiciary, Solicitor General, and Attorney General are summarised in Appendix 1 to the “Judicial Independence and the establishment of a Judicial and Legal Services Commissions consultation paper” which may be found at the following link:

Judicial Independence and the establishment of a Judicial and Legal Services Commission

These processes do not involve any public authorities which are scheduled under the Freedom of Information legislation.
