Request
I would like to know how much money was paid by the Government of Jersey (GOJ) to ex CEO Charlie Parker from the time he signed his contract with the GOJ until he officially left. Total amount must include all salaries, bonuses, incentives, advantages, benefits in kind and the £500,000 golden parachute.
Response
All financial disclosures related to the previous CEO have been included in the States of Jersey Annual Report and Accounts.
As the requested information is publicly available on www.gov.je it is therefore exempt under Article 23 (Information accessible to applicant by other means) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Article 23 Information accessible to applicant by other means
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
This response has been issued on behalf of the States Greffe. The States Greffe is responsible for the information held by (and on behalf of) both itself and the States Assembly. Neither the States Assembly nor the States Greffe form part of the Government of Jersey and the Government was not involved either in the examination and retrieval of any information required for this response, nor in the drafting of the response itself.
Internal Review Request
I asked how much money was paid to date to ex CEO Charlie Parker since he started working for the Government of Jersey.
The link to the government website included in your response does not provide any data for 2021 including the golden parachute of £500,000 that was awarded to Mr Parker in Q1 of 2021.
I now request an Internal Review in accordance with the Freedom of Information Internal Review Procedure.
Internal Review Response
This review has been completed by two senior staff members of the Government of Jersey, independent of the original decision-making process.
The conclusion reached is that the original response should have been clearer and provided which pages of the States of Jersey Annual Accounts the information could be accessed on, as follows:
States of Jersey Annual Report and Accounts 2018 (page 153)
States of Jersey Annual Report and Accounts 2019 (page 143)
States of Jersey Annual Report and Accounts 2020 (pages 200 and 326 and referenced on page 204)
Information was not included in the original response in reference to salary payments made from January – March 2021. This information has however been provided in a previous FOI response dated 3rd March 2021.
As the requested information is publicly available on www.gov.je it is therefore exempt under Article 23 (Information accessible to applicant by other means) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
