Information is not held by the Government of Jersey. Please see link to the Jersey Care Commission’s website which details the number of beds in each of the care homes.

Information is only held in respect of Health and Community Services (HCS) properties. Information is available from 2019 to 2020 only. Prior to this the previous format used a more generic categorisation and does not allow interrogation of the data without exceeding the 12.5 hours prescribed by regulation Under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
In 2019 there were no safeguarding issues raised regarding HCS residential care homes.
In 2020 there were three safeguarding issues raised, in the form of alerts (now known under the latest policy as concerns), for HCS residential care homes.
Safeguarding concerns have a set criteria:
a person has care and support needs
they may be experiencing or at risk of abuse and neglect
they are unable to protect themselves from abuse or neglect because of those care / support needs

Customer and Local Services does not have a record of financially independent residents.

The year on year historical information on the number of residential homes in the island is not held by the Government of Jersey. Information regarding currently registered care homes is available from the Jersey Care Commission website in the link provided above in response 'A'.
