Sewage Spills

The wastewater system is designed to spill on heavy rainfall events where combined sewers get overloaded. When this occurs the spills are significantly diluted. All sewer systems are designed to do this in extreme events.

All the incidences of over spills were reported to the Environmental Regulator in accordance with the conditions of the relevant Discharge permit.
