Response

The recruitment of Charlie Parker was managed by Odgers Berndston who were appointed through a competitive procurement process.

The total cost for Professional recruitment fees was £35,000. Advertising and design fees £10,975. Other disbursements including assessor fees and candidate expenses were £4,483, making a total of £50,458.

The appointment panel consisted of: Isobel Doverty (Chair of the panel and commissioner from the UK Civil Service (non-voting member), Ian Gorst (Chief Minister), Dame Janet Paraskeva and two other Commissioners from the Jersey Appointments commission and Alex Ohlsson and Sir Neil Mcintosh (Independent members).

Job adverts were placed in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Jersey Evening Post, and the Municipal Journal. Adverts were also placed on the websites of the Government of Jersey, Odgers Berndston and the UK Civil Service Jobs. We do not hold information about if and where Odgers Berndston placed additional advertisements. Article 3 (Information held) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

The External assessor was Dr Gillian Stamp.

B

The Interim recruitment search for Paul Martin was managed by Odgers Berndston and Green Park. Total professional recruitment fees were £95,000.

The appointment panel consisted of: Jane Burgess (Chair of the panel and commissioner from the UK Civil Service (non-voting member), John Le Fondre (Chief Minister), Dame Janet Paraskeva and another Commissioner from the Jersey Appointments commission along with Sue Fox and Sir Neil Mcintosh (Independent members).

The job advert was posted on LinkedIn, the gov.je jobs listings as well as the Gov.je CEO recruitment microsite. We do not hold information about if and where Odgers Berndston and Green Park placed additional advertisements. Article 3 (Information held) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

No external assessor as the recruitment was for interim role.

C

The recruitment of the new permanent Chief Executive was managed by Odgers Berndston who were appointed through a competitive procurement process.

The total cost for Professional recruitment fees was £60,000. Advertising fees £3,070. Other disbursements including assessor fees were £3,900, making a total of £66,970.

The appointment panel consisted of: Jane Burgess (Chair of the panel and commissioner from the UK Civil Service (non-voting member), John Le Fondre (Chief Minister), Dame Janet Paraskeva and another Commissioner from the Jersey Appointments commission along with Sue Fox and Sir Neil Mcintosh (Independent members).
