In the last three years, how many reports have the police received regarding rental scams, ie where someone attempts to obtain a rental deposit for a property they have no right to offer for rent?
Response
A search of the States of Jersey Police’s incident log database has been conducted using the search terms “rental” and “scam”. The initial statistics produced were then further manually checked to ensure relevance. The final statistics are recorded below:
