Please set out the current annual management salary costs and the clinical staff costs, as total costs, in HCS, as at 1st January 2022.

A
The management costs are those of non medical qualified, or under training in HCS
B
The Clinical staff costs are the combination of all medical delivery staff i.e. nurses, nursing assistants, cleaning and administrative staff on wards and in medical departments, doctors, junior doctors, registrars, consultants and other medical staff like laboratory assistants and support staff.

Based on the definitions provided in the request, as at 31st December 2021 the annual salary costs are as follows:

Management salary costs’ for those non-medical qualified or under training in HCS (this includes those admin staff not included in the requested definition of “clinical” staff costs) was £8.49 million (5.1% of total HCS salary expenditure)

Clinical staff costs were £156.61 million (94.9% of total HCS salary expenditure)
