Request
Following the publication of the NICE Pathway 'Major haemorrhaging in hospital' in May 2021, I am writing to enquire if Jersey General Hospital has protocols in place for the management of major haemorrhage, the rapid identification of patients taking anticoagulants and the reversal of anticoagulation agents. If such protocols are available, please could I request a copy. Thank you in advance for your help,
Response
Health and Community Services has adopted two policies to appropriately manage major haemorrhaging:
- Adult Major Haemorrhage
- Massive Obstetric Haemorrhage
Please see attached.
