'Please can you provide the number of Adrenaline Auto-Injectors prescribed in Jersey for each of the last three years 2019 to 2021. Please split these between Child and Adult pens and in preference also provide number provided to under 18s still in full time education.'
Response
The table below provides figures for the total number of Adrenaline devices dispensed as Pharmaceutical Benefit under the Health Insurance Law, having been prescribed by a General Practitioner and for the years 2019-2021.
Information is not held on the individual who received the prescription therefore a breakdown between child and adult cannot be provided.
The table does display information on the strength of product dispensed, however because 300mcg injections can be supplied to older children (those over the weight of 30kg), it's not possible to assume higher strengths are for adults in each instance.
