Can you tell me the amount of parking control officers including ones for the parish offices in 2019, 2020, 2021 2022?

Can you tell me the amount collected in parking fines for 2019, 2020, 2021 and the amount sent out to people at the time of writing for 2022?

The Government of Jersey employs twelve Parking Control Officers (PCOs) and this figure has remained the same since 2019.
The Parishes of St Helier, St Brelade and St Saviour also have PCOs but as the government do not hold parish information you may wish to contact the Parishes using the contact details at the end of the response. This information is therefore not held and Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

The Government of Jersey can only respond regarding parking infractions within off-street government car parks as the collection charges for on-street parking infractions falls within the remit of the Parishes, their PCOs and Honorary Police Officers.
Where government PCOs police Parish of St Helier roads, this is on behalf of the Parish and the adjudication and collection of any infraction notices are carried out by the Parish. Therefore, the information requested is not held and Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
Income from parking infractions for Government of Jersey public car parks only for the years requested are:
- 2019 = £614,800
- 2020 = £491,200
- 2021 = £701,200
- 2022 = £336,240 (5,604 infractions issued to 24 March)
Please note that the value for 2022 may reduce as some excess charge notices could be in the process of being appealed.
