The year prior to the year in which the policy of charging for lessons was introduced.

(i) The year for which the oldest data is held.

(ii) Please indicate, for each figure above the breakdown between the number of students coming from fee paying and non fee-paying schools.

(iii) Please give the 2019 and the latest figures for the total number of students whose tuition is subsidised (ie whose parents are not required to pay the standard charge for tuition. )

Jersey Music Service data is collated as the number of students enrolled for lessons at the beginning of each term and began in a recordable format in January 2012.

The Department does not hold data for the year 2000.
