Request
A
I would like to know how many companies have bought property in Jersey?
B
How many non-resident applications have been approved by the Chief Minister and or rejected by the Chief Minister?
Response
A
It is estimated that to respond to this question would exceed the cost limit provisions under Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and the 12.5 hours maximum allowed under Regulation 2 (1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014.
B
Information is not held. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies. While a company that wants to buy property has to apply for the consent of the Chief Minister, this is not related to residential status of people wishing to buy property in Jersey.
