Response

Please note the term “teachers” has been understood to mean all staff working within a school who have the word teacher in their role title. The data regarding “other teaching workforce” includes all other staff working in a school environment. These individuals may or may not teach as part of their remit.

Please note: For this, and all subsequent questions that request percentages, the Government of Jersey does not hold the requested information in a percentage form. The headcount numbers have been provided as they are held. All data has been taken as at 31 December each year. Also, to note; all held data regarding gender is self-reported.

Data Source: Human Resources Analytics. A key word search was undertaken for the term “teacher” from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022. This identified all roles with the term teacher in the role title. “Other teaching workforce” includes all staff working within school environments.
