Request

How many people in Jersey are paying more than zero Personal Income Tax and are also in receipt of any part of income support?

Response

A register of people in Jersey paying more than zero Personal Income Tax who are also in receipt of income support is not held by the Government of Jersey.

A Scheduled Public Authority is not required to manipulate and create new data sets under the Freedom of Information Regulations. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 therefore applies.

Article applied

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
