ADHD Diagnoses in under 16 year olds in 2023 (FOI)

Please advise of the number of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnoses in children aged 16 years and under, who were also prescribed drugs for that condition for each year from 2018  to date.

The information requested for the number of diagnoses in children aged 16 years and under, who were also prescribed drugs for this condition broken down per year is not held in a retrievable format. It has been estimated that to produce the data would exceed the 12.5 hours timescale prescribed in the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 therefore Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

The following data is the number of children (16 years and under) who were given their first prescription from Child, Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) for ADHD medication (under ADHD centre of care) per year. Diagnosis has been assumed based on prescription, initial diagnosis may have been in a year prior to this first medication.

Please note the 2018 data is not complete as there are no electronic prescriptions before August 2018.
