Response
The States Greffe provide a comprehensive induction programme for all States Members upon their election, to enable them to carry out their role(s). Within that induction programme in July 2022 all Members were offered training on, amongst other things –
- Data Protection
- Security and Safety – including a briefing with the States of Jersey Police
They were subsequently offered training in the Public Finances Manual.
Members have not received specific training on AML or Safeguarding through the States Greffe.
Training is not mandatory for States Members as they are elected officials and not employees.
