Although the Police and Criminal Evidence Act is not applicable in Jersey, States of Jersey Police would follow Annex L as good practice.

Please see Attachment 4 for current HCS Policy for Supporting Transgender Persons. Redactions have been applied in line with Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 to protect the personal information of individuals involved in the consultation process, including Government of Jersey employees in roles below Tier 1 and 2.

The policy is currently under review. It is anticipated that the updated version of the policy will be ratified in Quarter 2 of 2024.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.​​
